AGH Solutions’ Interpreting Team has partnered with DALS to introduce a new Video on Demand interpreting service, giving colleagues faster access to qualified interpreters when language support is needed.

The service is being piloted across Labour Ward, Maternity Ward, Antenatal Clinics, the Maternity Assessment Centre (MAC) and Community Midwives, helping teams access interpretation support quickly and easily when required.

The platform allows staff to connect with interpreters via video, providing an effective alternative when face-to-face interpreting is not essential and helping to overcome some of the challenges associated with telephone interpreting.

The service will be particularly beneficial when interpreters are required at short notice or when support is needed for less commonly spoken languages, which can sometimes be difficult to source quickly.
