AGH Solutions Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, has been recognised nationally for its programme of work on Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) at two industry awards.

In December, the RAAC Project team, working in collaboration with Curtins, P+HS Architects, Ellis Williams, Robertson Construction, AT Lee Properties, Kenmac Associates, CAD21, NG Bailey, Hive Projects and WT Partnership, was named as one of the 2025 winners at The Institution of Structural Engineers’ Structural Awards.

The team received the Award for an outstanding, people-centric example of advancing the industry’s response to RAAC remediation for its programme of work taking place at Airedale General Hospital. The programme focuses on minimising risk whilst working in a live clinical environment and keeping the hospital fully operational.

The judges commended the programme’s technical leadership and people-focused decision-making, noting that, “through open dialogue, smart digital tools and a calm response to risk, the team helped shape a new standard for critical infrastructure remediation.”

In addition, the RAAC Management Programme won Gold in the Social Value Impact Award category at the Building Better Healthcare Awards in November. This new category, judged by NHS England’s P23 team, celebrates initiatives that go beyond clinical outcomes to make a positive difference for patients, staff and local communities.
